Great clamp for dance lights!

As a mobile DJ that's been in the business for many years, I've been using these kinds of clamps to hang my lights at all my gigs. After adding some new lights to my setup, I knew I needed some more of these. ADJ has always had excellent quality, so I knew I was getting top value with these clamps. They work great and hold your lights in place. I'm sure I'll be buying more of these when I add even more lights to my gear.

Great fix for a broken speaker stand

I was able to use this clamp for an alternative purpose that has allowed me to utilize a speaker stand that I thought was done for. A friend of mine gave me a set of speaker stands, one of which was broken. The knob had broken and snapped off at the tension point for the bottom tripod legs. This did not allow for the legs to stay tight and in place when fully extended. This clamp allowed me to hold the stand in place above the broken part and now the speaker stand legs are not loose and do not move around or up and down the stand!

Used to hold a patio umbrella to a table

I use this clamp to hold a patio umbrella to my patio table. My table has tiny clearance at the bottom so I couldn't use a normal patio umbrella base. I clamp this clamp just below the table top so my umbrella doesn't blow away. It works excellently for this! The clamp was outside for about 6 months this year and still looks new. Super easy to put on and take off, seems very strong for my use.

GET A GRIP!

...No, really... This is a great hanging adaptor for dj / stage lighting in the light to medium weight fixture weight category. It has a great firm grip on the truss. I really wish I had a bunch of these for my last couple of gigs. I think they would've reduced setup / tear-down time by a considerable amount. You do need to reconfigure your fixture storage / packing methods to account for the permanent presence of the o-clamp on your fixtures, unless you just love spending hours fiddling about with wing-nuts and washers. :) I like how you can just grab a fixture slap it on the truss, slam the o-clamp shut, lock it down, and move on to the next fixture in short order, not forgetting the safety cable, of course. LOL ;) Another thing I love about the o-clamp is it won't scratch and ding your truss like conventional clamps DO. About the only recommendation I have, since these clamps use plastic inserts, is to spray a light coat of fabric adhesive on the inside of the plastic collar inserts or use rosin to give the o-clamp a tighter grip on the truss when hanging heavier lights that need to be held out horizontally from the truss, rather than below, or above the truss. You never know, just paranoid, I suppose. LOL. They do seem to grip fairly well though. I'm leaving these permanently attached to my fixtures, where feasible to do so. About the only knit-pick I have is that you can only use these on one of two sizes, 1.5, or 2 inch truss tubes, and only on round tubes, not square, but then most rigs are 1.5, or 2 inch anyway, so there you go. :) They are a bit costly up front, but the time they save you in set-up / tear-down will make up for it in terms of doing more in less time.

Ok clamp, lots of limitations.

These clamps are an OK deal, but they have a lot of limitations. They're designed to fit 1.5" or 2" tubing, in a hanging position. They definitely fit, but they can't clamp tight enough on a lot of truss tubing to prevent spinning. They are also fairly bulky, so depending on your trussing, you may have some trouble fitting these in between the truss webbing, really limiting your light position options. They are at least sturdily made, they're a tough plastic and have a nice screw clamping mechanism. They are also M10 threaded so if your fixture already has an M10 thread, you can just thread these in. The bolt doesn't spin, which is nice, makes screwing on the wingnut easy, and it does include a large fender washer. One thing that took me a while to figure out (longer than it should have...) was how to convert these for use on 2" tubing. If you are looking thru the hole in the clamp (the hole that goes around the truss), there is a square bumped out section (the bolt sticks out of one of the square bumpouts). Those bumpouts are fingers that snap the 1.5" insert into the 2" clamp, so if you pry with a screwdriver on the outermost edge of either bumpout, you will pop the finger off the base clamp, and the 1.5" insert will come off. Sorry if it's a terrible description, just know that if you pry on the insert, you'll probably not break it and manage to pop the insert out. I also made a modification to these clamps, I used an adhesive silicone and made thick lines of silicone inside the clamping area of the clamp. It seems to have stuck well, and it allows the clamps to now fit tightly on any tubing they attach to. They are actually able to clamp vertically on tubing now (although I don't trust them that way, I've done it with a couple small lightweight lights in a pinch). I ultimately bought a bunch of these and made that silicone modification to all of them, but in the end I went with some snap clamp style light clamps that can be adjusted and tightened hard on tubing. These get 3 stars for what they are, they just have a lot of limitations. If your only purpose is to hang some simple lights from a T-bar, then these are probably fine. If you're looking to mount a lot of lights on trussing or position lights horizontally and vertically or hold them at angles, these just don't work well for that.

Very convenient for setting up lights

i have not purchased these for some years, and this one is slightly improved over what I have from 8 years ago. They are a little pricey, but they are far quicker than putting a bolt through a hole. I leave mine on my lights so I like them.

Perfect size for Starlink Gen 2 dish

Used this to install my Gen 2 Starlink dish on a Ubiquiti UB-AM J-mount. It's a perfect fit and doesn't damage the spring-loaded catch built into the Starlink pole, allowing me to remove the dish in about 30 seconds to take camping.

Bread and butter right here guy! was too cheap to buy these for the longest time and just used the holes in the ADJ truss (super limited to your potential awesomeness) but boy am I ever to have these little life savers on my rig. The possibilities are endless with angles and positioning and they are a small investment to make in order to save potential hours of setup at a gig. Thumbs up!!!!

This type of design in plastic is a great deal. Most of my lights are not that heavy so I’m definitely saving money not buying the steel or aluminum clamps. I have not yet managed to break one of these plastic clamps, so I know they can definitely hold their own!
